Our New Opening Hours

We have new shop safety guidance in place in our store on Church Street in Ashbourne and encourage all of our customers to read through the steps we have taken to protect our customers and our staff before visiting us.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding at this unprecedented time and we look forward to seeing you all again. 

Monday - Saturday : 9:30am - 5:00pm

Sunday 6th : 10:30am - 4:00pm

Sunday 13th & 20th : 12pm - 6pm

Getting To Us

There is a new one way system in place on Compton and on Dig Street which may not show up on your satnav/route planner.

Please drive carefully as pedestrians now have an outlined walkway at the side of the pavement on the road.

We recommend you allow extra time for your journey if you have an appointment with us as the new system may cause some traffic delays during busy times.

If you are running late please contact us as soon as it is safe to do so. We may need to rearrange your appointment if there is another customer scheduled afterwards.

Our New Shop Safety Guidance

  • You are required to wear a face covering whilst in our store. Unless you are exempt.
  • Please use the main door on entry and exit unless you have an appointment. From entering the shop, to exiting the shop please remember to maintain the 2 metre distancing.
  • We have two sanitising stations in the shop for customers to use as soon as entering and before leaving our store.
  • There will be a maximum of two customers (or two groups of two people) in the main shop at any one time. Those accompanied by children, we would kindly ask they stay with you at all times.
  • Once we are at maximum capacity we will lock the door. If you arrive at the shop and the door is locked we would kindly ask if you could come back later or contact us by phone or email to make an appointment and do not queue on the street as the pavement is not wide enough to allow for the 2 metre social distancing. 
  • We have clear signage in-store and our staff will also guide you. We ask that customers use the main counter on the right if the shop is empty. If there is a customer on the right hand counter then we ask customer to use the middle terminal point. We have protective screens on both counters.
  • We still have a regular cleaning and disinfecting rota throughout each day and final clean down at the end of every day.

Appointments

Whilst the Covid-19 restrictions are in place we request that customers contact us to pre-book an appointment before visiting our store by calling 01335 348961 or emailing us for the following:

  • If you would like to try on items of jewellery or watches
  • If you have a bespoke jewellery enquiry you would like to discuss
  • Collection of special orders (including engagement rings, wedding rings etc)
  • Valuations - booking in or collecting
  • Scrap - booking in or collecting
  • More than three items to be booked in for repair/alterations

From Friday 24th July it will be compulsory to wear a face mask in our store.

Please make sure you are on time for your appointment or we may have reschedule. If you are early please come back at your allotted time. Upon arrival for your appointment we would like to ask you to use our staff door which is to the right of our main shop door (see image) where a member of staff will be able to let you in and seated at our consultation desk. Both our desks also have protective screens.

Unfortunately we cannot offer customers refreshments during this time but you are welcome to bring your own.

Our Services

Watch Batteries

There will be no on the day batteries. We will require all watch batteries to be left with us for a minimum of 72 hours from booking in.

Jewellery/Watch Repairs and Alterations

Our jewellery and watch workshops are back up and running and we will be able to give you an approximate timescale when booking in your jewellery or watch. If you have more than three items for us to assess for repair or alterations then we would advise arranging an appointment with us before coming to the store. There will be no on the day jewellery/watch repairs.

Ring Sizing: We are still able to guide customers using our ring gauges but we are not allowed to put the gauges onto your fingers like we normally would to check the size.

Please Note: Some of our repairers, silversmiths and goldsmiths are working on reduced hours and therefore some times have been extended from our usual timescales. 

Choosing and Collecting Rings

You must make an appointment prior to visiting when choosing/browsing our engagement or wedding rings as well as collecting rings you have ordered from us. This is also applies to eternity rings and dress rings. See the appointments section above for more information. 

Bespoke Jewellery and Redesign Service

You must make an appointment for all bespoke jewellery enquiries, orders, updates and collections.

We will need as much information as possible so we can prepare beforehand and to allow us to schedule your appointment correctly.

Interest Free Finance

We are only able to offer finance via our website during this time.

Ear Piercing

We are now offering our ear piercing service for those over 12 years old and the first and second holes only. Please note this is only available on Wednesday mornings and by appointment only.

Ways To Pay

  • We can accept the new £45 contactless card payments.
  • We accept credit and debit card chip and pin
  • We accept Apple & Google Pay for up to £500.
  • You can now use click & collect again on our website (please email us to confirm the day & time you wish to collect from our store).
  • We can accept BACS payments - This must be pre-arranged - contact us for more details.
  • We are still accepting cash although we prefer the above methods of payment where possible.
